Christy Webb - Director/Producer

Christy Webb Gibson grew up in South America, spent her teens and twenties in NYC, raised her twin daughters in Hong Kong and now calls Vancouver home. Early theatre training was at HB Studios in Manhattan where she also worked with Sandy Dennis, Anna Ivarra/Eric Morris and Jeremy Whelan (Los Angeles). Christy made raising a family a priority but managed a number of stage roles in the U.S., Canada and Hong Kong. In 1993, she founded Spiderwebb Productions HK and continued acting, teaching and directing.  In 2014, she produced and directed the work of New York playwright Sharr White’s The Other Place, followed by the Canadian Premiere of White's  Annapurna (2015) then Duncan Macmillan' play Lungs (2019). Never one to shy from complex subjects she mounts the Canadian Premiere of Ruby Thomas’ The Animal Kingdom.

Abraham Asto - Tim

Abraham Asto is a classically trained actor and graduate of the George Brown Theatre Conservatory, with a BA in Humanities from the University of Toronto. He has performed on stages across Canada, most recently as the Groom in Blood Wedding and Bejart in La Bête with The Great Works Theatre Festival. His work spans theatre, film, and voice, with recent screen credits including Reacher, The Good Doctor, and Wild Cards. Abraham’s artistic path is rooted in a search for truth and transformation—through language, presence, and the deep currents that move the soul.

Advah Soudack - Rita

Advah Soudack is a Vancouver-based actor, voice over artist, and singer.  She is a proud graduate of the University of Alberta BFA acting program.  Advah is not only thrilled to be part of this production of The Animal Kingdom but also honoured to be part of this stellar cast!   Selected theatre credits: A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Henry V (Bard on the Beach), Courage Now (Firehall Arts Centre), The House At Pooh Corner and Stuart Little (Carousel Theatre) and touring production of GLORY (Western Canada Theatre).  Selected screen credits: Fire Country, Blockbuster, and Love, Lights, Hanukkah.  Selected animation credits: Lego Friends, My Little Pony, Polly Pocket and Beyblade Burst Evolution.  Advah is grateful for this wonderful opportunity and wants to thank her family and friends for their constant support.  For my Abba.

​Lili Martin - Sofia

Lili Martin is an artist living on the unceded territories of Musqueam and Coast Salish peoples in Vancouver. Since graduating from Capilano’s Acting for Stage and Screen program she has acted in short films, with screenings at the Whistler film festival. Some of her past theatre creditsinclude being a part of Outposts 31’s The Sci-Fi Sampler and Collectivus Theatre’s Summer Bucket List and Theatre SKAM’s Concord Floral.

​​​Mozi Mayaleh - Sam

Mozi Mayaleh makes his stage debut, taking on the role of Sam in The Animal Kingdom. Originally from Prince Edward Island, Mozi moved to Vancouver and has been in the acting industry since the start of 2024. He’s trained under various institutes, including the Vancouver Institute of Media Arts, where he completed his conservatory program, and the Playhouse West in Los Angeles, California. Currently living in Vancouver, most of his work from the past year has been in various feature-length films by local filmmakers. ​Richard Meen - Daniel

​​Richard Meen is originally from Alberta, but after fifteen years on the west coast, Vancouver is definitely home. Excited to be back on stage with this powerful play, previous projects have included Beautiful Man (Pi Theatre), A Trip to Bountiful, Jerusalem (United Players), and one of his Fringe favourites, Die Hard: the Musical. Richard can also often be seen in some of your favourite locally filmed TV series often being beaten up by the good guys.

 

​Glenn MacDonald - Set Designer

Glenn MacDonald completed an apprenticeship at the Manitoba Theatre while he was still in high school. Since then he has done every job there is in the theatre, as well as special events and film and television. He was a member of Christopher Newton’s acting ensemble at the Vancouver Playhouse (75-79), co-founded The White Rock Summer Theatre with Terence Kelly and Al Kozlik, was Assistant Production Manager for Entertainment at EXPO ’86, stage managed the Opening and Closing Ceremonies at Calgary’s ’88 Winter Olympics and has worked in set decoration on countless TV shows and feature films including Smallville, Once Upon a Time, Night at the Museum II and The A Team. Annapurna and The Dining Room which follows, mark the 14th and 15th productions he has designed in the PAL Studio Theatre.

​​Mark Carter - Lighting Designer
Mark is a local director and designer in Vancouver. HIs most recent lighting designs have been for Vancouver Men’s Chorus Totally Awesome 80’s, and Guys on Ice with Chemainus Theatre Festival . Other design credits include: Gaslight in 2023 (Chemainus & WCT). For United Players: The Trip To Bountiful, Hedda Gabler, Silent Sky, Amphitruo, and The Thursday Night Bridge Circle. Other favourite design credits include The Wizard of Oz (St. George’s), Sizzlin’ Summer, RESPECT! and Making Spirits Bright (VMC), Mary Poppins and The Drowsy Chaperone (TUTS). This October Mark will be directing Dracula Comedy of Terrors for his company DSR Productions at Jericho Arts Centre. 

​May Goddard - Sound Designer

May Goddard (She/Her) is a sound designer, composer and live audio technician with a rich background in theatre, live events, and game audio. Her recent sound design work includes Sinners and The Play That Goes Wrong both at Metro Theatre. When she’s not at work, she enjoys working with some high schools in her home town of Maple Ridge introducing the craft of theatre tech to students, as well as working on her own music composition projects.

Keith A. Parent - Costume Designer
Keith was born and raised in the entertainment capitol of the world…Fredericton, New Brunswick, where he has been ‘designing’ costumes since the age of eleven. While majoring in Fashion Design at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, he became involved with several local theatre groups, and fell in love. After graduation the film industry beckoned Keith to Vancouver, where he has worked on several productions for cinema and TV, all to support his true love….theatre. Costume design credits include: Edward III, Dracula, the Silver Scream,Goldilocks and the Three Bears, ‘C’ is for Comedy @ Sea Vancouver, Skydive, and Annapurna. XO to Jethelo Enjoy the Show!!

 

Jethelo Espaldon Cabilete - CAEA Stage Manager

A graduate of Theatre Humber’s Technical and Production program, with an extensive repertoire in stage management and stagehand work. Twenty-seven years of industry work with Directors/Choreographers such as: Marcus Youssef, Lois Anderson, Richard Wolfe, Donna Spencer, Crystal Pite, Diane Roberts, Stephen Drover. Notable productions: Lasa ng Imperyo, CHILD-ish, Revisor, The Shipment, Reflections on Crooked Walking 2023, Cedar Woman, The Invisible Hand, God’s Lake, The Whipping Man, Children of God, Long Division, Annapurna, Skydive, Falling In Time. Lindsay Drummond  - Production Manager

Lindsay is a Vancouver based actress and producer who works in theatre, film & television. She is the executive producer of East Van Entertainment and co-writer of the Leo award winning series, The Drive.  She is a graduate of SFU’s School for Contemporary Arts Theatre program. She is also co-founder and co-artistic director of the Jessie Richardson Award nominated, TigerMilk Collective. Some of her favourite theatre credits include Greenland by Nicholas Billon and Hospital City by Miranda Huba both produced by TM. Lindsay now spends her time as the school director of Lights Up Musical Theatre for youth. 

 

 

Kat Wahamaa – Publicist

An artist engaged in music, dance, theatre, and arts for social change, Kat has worked as a publicist for organizations such as Maximum Media, Killbeat Music and through her company ShinyB for Classic Chic Productions, City of Surrey, The Reach, Rime and individual artists. She was Artist in Residence for the City of Maple Ridge/City of Pitt Meadows 2014-2019. As co-artistic director at Railtown Cultural Eclective she produced the plays Fresh Water (2013), Stroke of Luck (2014), A Short History of My Life as a Bear (2013), The Drummer Girl (2013), and Shakespeare & the Alchemy of Gender (2014). Kat is thrilled to be working with Christy again and this exceptional cast and creative team.
